Is Google Having Problems Delivering YouTube Videos?
Every since the Google acquisition, many times when I go to play video clips on YouTube they don't load as fast as they use to or they have to stop half-way through to re-buffer. For me, this is happening more and more. Yesterday, it took nearly 2 minutes for a 30 second video to start to play and it was a video that had only been viewed 6 times. There has been a lot of speculation on how Google was going to integrate YouTube's videos into the Google delivery network and I have to believe that they are clearly having some performance issues.Has anyone else seen a drop in performance in the playback of videos since the acquisition?

Yes, I noticed that a video that a friend had sent me off of YouTube took an exceptionally long period of time to load, and then it kept pausing for long periods to buffer the video.
The videos never used to be so slow before Google acquired YouTube.

Glad to see I am not the only one who noticed!

I just uploaded a video last night. Here it is, 6 hours later, and it finally went from "Image Coming Soon" to the video thumbnail. Here it is 10 minutes later and it still says "Loading..." and this happened three nights ago with another video. These aren't long videos, either.

Recently I am having problems running videos. They stop after a while and I have to reload the page. It stops again at the same spot as before. I don't know if this is youtube's problem or some software misisng on my PC.

about half the videos I try to watch at the moment won't download, I hardly bother with youtube now

I noticed that also - I also noticed that it doesn't buffer for some videos while it buffers normaly for other (since about one week starting from end of October 2007) I have a very very fast Internet connection and alloted enough space to my browsers cache and temporay internet files.Google i.e. youtube is also said to have done something to their video servers - anyway,GoogleVideoBeta doesn't have this buffer problems.Nor does any other similar video site.Is this some sort of silent new censorship, like only buffering "most popular videos" or "most viewed" ? They have ruined it then! I think, me and million others will look for alternative video sites.(there is no lack of them)But if you (Google/youtube) are going to fix this, you better be quick because if this is going on for months, I won't bother even try watching anything on youtube again. Overall satisfaction with youtube since Oct. 2007 = Zero.

I also noticed a lack in performance on YouTube recently - especially on weekends there is a stop in replay every 10 secs or so for about another 10 secs min - this really makes watching YouTube videos a waste of time (as it may have been before, but for other reasons).

I am from Singapore, but I can't access to any YouTube videos. They seem to load forever. When I went to my blog and watch videos from there (the uploading video feature), they say that the video is not available. Is there something wrong?

I'm not having a problem with youtube, but google. They used to play half hour to over an hour videos, but now they only play anywhere from 9-12 minutes

I have the same problem....anyone know why youtube videos are not loading?.....This sucks!

I have same problem, videos I watched without a problem a few days ago are not loading at all, some will go for 5 seconds or so and then stop, then a minute or so goes by and another 5 seconds of video will play, then video stops and most of the time does not start again. This is really ridiculous. I don't care if the problem is with you tube or google, I would just like one or both of them to get it worked out!

60 % of all youtube.com video clips don't buffer well if at all unless watched a 3:00 am in the night, no matter what their quality, lenght or size is - It is definatly time for theinternational " I delete my youtube account day" and switch to a faster flv video hoster......if you wanna dominate the world, google, at least buy enough bandwidth
to cater for the world!!!!!!!

YouTube videos take forever to buffer. They aren't even streaming them. Why is this so hard for Google to get right?

I have had no problem up until this past weekend. When I click on a youTube video, it takes about 15 secs to load! And if I should stop a video in play it just freezes for another 15 or so secs. I have Comcast High Speed and I have NO problem with any other websites. Only youTube. It sucks, I
like youtube but, if they don't do a quick fix soon, Im finished with them. And I'm sure I speak for alot of folks. youTube will go down the drain~

YouTube is a nightmare - over the last few months it's gone from being very slow, to the point that for the last few days it's quite simply unuseable.
I'm not too sure, but could it be somthing to do with specific ISPs? I found this an interesting read:
http://stopvirgin.movielol.org/
...not that I can currently view any of the videos on the site as they are all streamed from youtube... lol!

about 60% of the videos on youtube don't load for me. It's been a constant problem for a week now. On some videos if I click refresh they load fast (very fast!) but others still don't work...?

Its time for something new - come on Programmers develop a new video website soon. This sucks! I started having the same problem 3 days ago - I just ordered Road runner high speed cable feb 27 - its fast - youtube worked fine even with wireless for the past 2 years. I never seen the problem as other have been having since Google acquired YouTube. I even signed off to see if they were just blocking my account - I deleted cookies changed my static IP's - used restore nothing works- I even formated my 'HD' reinstalled used a dial up IP Address. I ran out of idea's. From what I was told by an employee at brighthouse networks he uses youtube at home and is having the same problem - I don't think Google can handle the traffic, just last night March 14, 2009 at 2:00 am here in Central Florida I was back up and DL videos like normal HMMMMMMMMM I knew I should have stayed up by 10:00 am the next day the youtube is doing the no DL again.

I have the same problem with either no buffering or just part of the buffering - So what is the solution if any other that just not bother with You Tube videos?

You Tube either fix their service deliverance or shutdown.
What good is this service it it no longer meets the needs of it's viewers/customers?
Start up another business if this can't be rectified or if the service Youtube provides is no longer in the interest of Google.
