NY Video 2.0 Meetup in NYC: Beyond Pre-Roll, What's Next for Online Video Advertising?
Dan Rayburn | Tuesday July 3, 2007 | 08:00 AM
The next NY Video 2.0 Meetup will take place Monday July 9th in NYC at the Columbia Business School. I'll be moderating a panel entitled "Beyond Pre-Roll: What's Next for Online Video Advertising?" starting at 7pm. The panelists for this discussion will be:
- Kevin McGurn, VP, Advertising, nbbc
- Jeff Minsky, Director of Digital Media, OMD
- Robert Victor, Product Manager, Emerging Media, DoubleClick
- Jed Savage, EVP, Strategy and Development, ScanScout
This is a great chance to come hear if anyone is making money with online video advertising and learn the going CPM rates for video ads. As always, the event is free but the room size is limited to 200 attendees. As of today, there are only 26 spots left, so RSVP now if you want to attend.
Have any questions for the panelists? Leave them in the comments section and I'll ask them during the Q&A portion of the session.

Hi,
Qn - how do you see online video advertising developing in Europe as opposed to USA?
Also wondering if a summary from this event will be posted online - i'm in the UK so cant attend but would love to read about what was said.
Cheers

I second Emily's request about making this event available online in some way -->
summary = good
vid of the event online = better
I'm on the left coast and can't attend.

IF video 2.0 is to remind us web 2.0, this MeetUp meetings should be available live and also as an archived broadcast. It should also be available as a pay-per-view.
There are many providers that can arrange for such webcasts.

Hi Dan,
Hope its not too late to get this in, but I have a for questions for Jed Savage.
Being conservative, what % accuracy is Scanscout able to achieve in its transcription of audio from videos? And also how does he feel their accuracy compares to everyzing.com?
