Free Product Giveaway: MediaGate Wireless HD Media Player

Mg350_5UPDATE: Guillaume Courouge was selected as the winner using a random number picker website.

The nice folks over at MediaGate sent one of their MG-350HD Wireless HD Media Players for me to review, but with the holidays and other deadlines I am under, I won't have a chance to do a product review anytime soon. I did however find a really positive product review on the unit over at HomeTheaterBlog.com

Since I won't be able to review the unit, they have nicely said I can give it away to a reader of my blog. All you have to do is leave one comment on this post with a working e-mail address. I will pick one user at random a week from today and ship it out to the winner at no cost.

If any company is interested in getting exposure for their video related product on my blog and is willing to give away the product, contact me. I will post pictures of the product, link to the company website and either write a product review or link to other reviews on the web. It's great exposure on a blog that does over 300,000 page views a month.

Great give away, thanks!

I would love to get my hands this toy!! In fact I was planning to buy D-Link DSM520 (http://www.circuitcity.com/ccd/productDetail.do?oid=165023) in the coming days.

Thank you Dan for offering this product to your readers!!

What a terrific holiday treat! The value of this blog just keeps rising. Good luck to all readers.

I love your blog and check it daily for updates. Please pick me - randomly, of course.

Pick me! Pick me! Pick me! :)

You blog is great! I love it it.

Does it support old DIVX version?

Would love that sucker!

Love your blog, Dan!

Pick me Pick me....of course.

I toured the website looking at their distribution. Nothing in the physical world just online outlets. Coincidentally I have been thinking and talking all morning about how to "get into BestBuy". The BigBoxes are tough esp. for left field gizmos like this one (and the ones we used to market.) And sadly online retailing isn't a complete substitute.

I'll take another look at these guys after our Xmas party.

Happy Merry, Dan

I'm just a lurker, but this gives me an excuse to show my appreciation for your work. Thanks!

Dan, Thanks for the offer!

Randomly pick me :-)

That is very cool of MediaGate and you. mRdano me!

Sign me up! I'd love to check this thing out...

oooh oooh pick me pick me. I promise to stream a streamingmedia podcast on it!

Does this unit handle streaming media, or only stored (downloaded) content? I know that streaming HD content is rare, but it is coming, as soon as reliable 2 mbps connections are more common in the USA.

What a nice xmas present!\
To answer the above questions:
This device supports streaming. and also HD.
I'm sure the player inside is a software player (unlike STB...) and thus with new firmware every new format can be supported.
I'd love to have this baby near my TV!

I think that this product is just the tip of the iceberg for products like this-they should only get better and more user friendly-AND would make a great Christmas gift-Thanks for all the great articles!-keep 'em comin'! MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I have not yet posted a comment here but I greatly appreciate your clear, frank, and well-informed articles that test out and debunk so many investor analysts' chestnuts of "conventional wisdom" about this space.

Thank you!

So nice you of to give away!!!

Lior, the new streaming services all use proprietary players, many of them using some type of peer to peer technology. I am not so sure that this unit would play them all, or indeed any p2p solution.

In any case, I would love to try this unit out!

Looks great!

I'm an American living in Brazil, so you should pick me and enjoy paying the overseas shipping expenses. :^)

I could explain to you that I could use my 17+ years in the world of media production (News & Higher-Ed) to greatly enhance the university for which I work and/or promote MediaGate and BusinessOfVideo.Com. I probably won't do that, although I'm sure I'd blog about being the winner. It's my 5-year-old who would benefit most. Having the Princesses (and such) accessible some place other than the man cave would probably bring more joy to her life than the laughter brought forth when the dog toots.
