Free Evaluation Code: Get Hands-On With Sorenson Squeeze 6 Encoding Software
Dan Rayburn | Wednesday November 4, 2009 | 12:06 AM Sorenson Media, a sponsor of this blog, just released version 6 of their popular Squeeze encoding software. Jan Ozer over at StreamingMedia.com just did a write up on some of the new features which you can read about here. Sorenson is providing readers of my blog with a special 30-day evaluation serial number so you can get hands-on with the software and try it out for yourself. Just download the Mac or Windows version and use this serial number: 884TQC-GBVG44-UY9Y67-BFADQ5-MSF58D. UPDATED: Where it asks for a company name, type in Rayburn. The serial number is good for the first 100 activations, so you better be quick if you want to make sure you can use it. Thanks to Sorenson for making the code available to readers.
If the code did not work for you the first time, please enter the name Rayburn where it asks for a company name.

I'd be interested to hear opinions on Sorenson Squeeze for Flash vs Adobe Media Encoder. I've used Adobe Premiere since it was in beta, and never did find any other workflow that I liked as much as Premiere (or Photoshop for that matter) and I export its projects straight into Media Encoder which works really quickly on my Pentium Core Duo 8400 chip...
Does anyone find any major advantages to one over the other?

After we have edited our videos, we copy back to Tape and using Flash Media Live Encoder for encoding and getting the best encoding output (both in VP6 and H.264). No need to buy a software solution, when Flash Media Live Encoder do a better job. Note: Just set RTMP to Local and adjust the settings to you need.

I am happy to know that Sorenson Squeeze 6 also now works seamlessly with Apple’s Final Cut Pro and iMovie.
