Free Product Giveaway: Logitech Harmony One Advanced Universal Remote
Thanks to the generous folks at Logitech, I am giving away a Logitech Harmony One Advanced Universal Remote to one lucky reader of my blog. This is the same model remote I use myself to control dozens of broadband-enabled devices in my home and as far as I am concerned, it the best remote on the market today. To enter the drawing all you have to do is leave one comment on this post with a valid e-mail address and I'll pick one lucky user at random at the end of the month. Drawing is only open to those with a U.S. mailing address. A big thanks to Logitech for the gear. Good luck!

The logitech harmony remotes look pretty cool!

Thank you. I could very much use a universal remote.

Really? Very nice. I wonder how much life universal remotes (like the one from Logitech) have as we transition to tablets and remote apps.
More importantly, Dan -- what's the pricing forecast for CDNs in 2011 and 2012. Update always appreciated.

I'm a bigger fan of the URC MX-8xx line of remotes, but I do admire Logitech for recognizing that not all power users buy everything through professional installers instead of the direct retail channel. Harmony One is the remote my dad bought because it's what he thought I had. He was all set to change his purchase until the answer to his "Where do I get one like you have?" came on a business card.

Great blog and a great product giveaway! I've been a long time reader as I'm been planning my streaming project. I recently received the funding I need to launch, and this blog was a huge part in that. Thanks!

Would love to see how well this works with my new AppleTV

I've heard and read good things about this, but I have to wonder if it is as powerful as some of the less plug-and-play solutions are. I'm thinking largely of the iOS/Android devices that can, with a cheap dongle, learn and transmit over the IR spectrum.

This may be just what I need.

I just added your blog to my Google Reader and couldn't be happier that I have done so. It's a great resource for me to keep up-to-date on the industry. Please keep up the great work!
Pick me please - I would give this remote a good home! The AUX+TV+CABLE inputs on my Comcast/Motorola STB haven't been cutting it for awhile now... ;)

Looks good though very expensive, and it looks like you'd need to buy a separate IR receiver for the HTPC.

Its really hard to manage so many device with so many remotes. I have Sony Blu-ray, LG TV and Samsung home theater system. Its tough to control everything from all different remote. I am sure this logitech harmony remote will solve my problem. Thanks for this giveaway.

It would be a nice piece of hardware to size up against controlling my Apple TV through the Apple Remote app on my iPhone.
